About Jitka:
She was born in Brno into a musical family, her father was a conductor and her mother was a singer. Jitka started singing in Poděbrady. She won a national talent competion Talent 67, and also won a second place in the first year of festival of amateur singers in Jihlava.

Befor her graduation, she already guest starred in Prague theatres Rokoko and Apollo, and also in the movie Bylo čtvrt a bude půl. After her graduation she joined the Rokoko theatre, where she performed in musical plays and in a joint programme with Ulrych siblings.

In 1973, Jitka Zelenkova had received an offer to perform alongside with Karel Gott in Ladislav Štaidl’s band, with whom she visited countless coutries. She performed with them for almost fourteen years not only as a vocalist but also as a soloist. In 1980 she recorded her first solo album Zázemí, which met with great response from the audience and the experts alike.

Currently Jitka Zelenková performs a solo recital, accompanied by František Raba (bass) and Lev Rybalkin (piano). She also performs as a guest of orchestras: eg. Orchestr Gustava Broma, Big Band Felixe Slováčka, Golem, Boom-band!. Actively and regularly she participates in many charity concerts as well.
